The message was sent to Hollywood this past weekend. No new movies, no new customers. The weekend at the box-office was the lowest in years, as there weren’t any new releases of significance and the NFL season had it’s kickoff weekend. Guardians of the Galaxy have shown they have what it takes to nab the first spot and they did it yet again, to the tune of $10.2 million dollars. The Marvel picture should break the $300 million domestic dollar mark this week. Coming in second is the newest iteration of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with $6.5 million dollars. If I Stay hung on to the third spot with $5.8 million dollars. Let’s Be Cops has found a home yet again in the fourth spot with $5.4 million dollars. While Pierce Brosnan’s The November Man rounded out the top-five with $4.2 million dollars. Here is the complete breakdown for the weekend of 9/5-9/7:
