This September has been by far the slowest film month of the year. Don’t fret, there are a bunch of unique movies coming your way this fall. On the surface a World War II movie starring Brad Pitt (Inglorious Basterds) might seem awfully familiar, however, early buzz on the the upcoming film, Fury, is that it has a lot to offer.

The film centers on a band of five soldiers who operate a tank in Germany, in 1945. It is directed and written by David Ayer (End of Watch), so viewers should expect a gritty, action-packed, character study if his past filmography is an indication. The word has been that each member of the five-man team, Brad Pitt, Logan Lerman, Shia Lebeouf, Michael Pena, and Jon Berenthal are all well-written and each get moments to shine. Ayer’s past films have had extremely visceral violence. that feels threateningly close. April, 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines.
