Disney/Pixar’s X-WINGS Trailer
When Disney acquired Pixar, LucasFilm, and Marvel, many wondered how long it would take before we got a cross-pollination between the brands. Disney has been methodical and have given their acquisitions a large amount of autonomy to continue the success that they originally created. However, that doesn’t stop fans from fantasizing about Pixar animating a Marvel property. Or from Wall-E showing up in a Star Wars spin-off. Director Brian K. Anderson has taken his curiosity to the next level and created a surprisingly realistic trailer for X-WINGS, which is animated in Pixar’s style and tone. It is pretty fun, however hopefully things like this stay in the realm of fan fiction.
Avengers: Age of Ultron Featurette – World Tour
One of my biggest issues with The Avengers is that at many times the movie feels and looks like a TV show. Particularly at the beginning of the movie, the lighting, camera angles, and sterile set environments do not truly match the epic nature of the material. It seems that Marvel Studios has taken note and expanded the scope of Age of Ultron, by literally filming all over the world. This look behind the scenes shows off the different locations that were used in the globe-trotting adventure.
Honest Trailers – Daredevil (2003)
We are a mere few days away from the premiere of Marvel’s Daredevil on Netflix. The character is primed for stardom, yet hasn’t found its footing in live-action. Twelve years ago Fox Studios produced Daredevil with Ben Affleck in the lead role. The movie had many issues, however the overall direction is the main culprit. Sit down with the Screen Junkies as they break down 2003’s Daredevil. It should be the perfect thing to cleanse your palette before Marvel Studios shows the world the next interpretation of the blind defender. Enjoy the laughs.
Everything You Need to Know about Fast and the Furious
This past weekend the seventh installment in the Fast and the Furious franchise, Furious 7, defied all expectations with an enormous opening weekend. There has been a lot talk about the evolution of the series and how it has grown over the years. Dorkly has created the perfect tutorial video for both the newly initiated and long time fans of the Fast and the Furious franchise. Enjoy.
