It is a long road to Warner Bros’ Justice League movie. While there has not been an official release date announced for the most epic superhero team-up this side of The Avengers, it is widely assumed that we will be watching it in 2017. One thing Warner Bros. has been doing is leaving breadcrumbs and clues to their approach to a multitude of projects. Whether it is them reintroducing the power of Shazaam in Superman/Shazam!: The Return of Black Adam or presenting Aquaman as an anti-hero in the upcoming animated feature Justice League: Throne of Atlantis, they are slowly preparing the movie-going public for the type of interpretations they may see on the big screen.
However this practice begun a few years back and with the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice filming as you read this, Epic Comicast has begun to dig into the material that may possibly inform some of the source of conflict between Batman and Superman. The animated movie is based on the story arc in comics called the Tower of Babel. What becomes apparent in most modern Justice League stories involving Batman is that his true “superpower” is his intelligence, strategic planning, and his field tactics. This comes to light in the film when it is uncovered that he has made contingency plans for every member of the Justice League in case they go rogue or worse. This information is stolen and used for nefarious purposes and it is up to Batman and Cyborg (another character to be featured in the upcoming Dawn of Justice) to save his cohorts from the traps that he devised.
