Epic Comicast Ep. 29 – Justice League War

Karina and TC are back for another fresh episode of the Epic Comicast podcast. Warner Bros made a huge announcement last week, that they will be producing over ten DC Comics related films through the year 2020. The epicenter of the new DC cinematic universe will be revolve around their two Justice League films, with the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice serving as a prologue to those movies. The movie universe seems heavily inspired by current interpretations found in modern DC comics. The relaunch of the Justice League began in the animated world, in this year’s Justice League: War.

Epic Comicast is following up the announcement with a breakdown of Justice League: War, which is the origin story for the Justice League. Following the events of Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox, the slate has been wiped clean and we get to see the first time the Justice League members meet each other. The animation is crisp and the action is fluid, along with some pretty witty writing. The movie also serves as an origin story for Cyborg. If you are unfamiliar with his story or want a hint at how he may be included in Dawn of Justice, it’s definitely worth a watch.

DC has a “War” of its own this week as Karina Michelle and I (TC) review the DC animated movie Justice League: War. Join us as we discuss the hilarious chemistry between Batman and Green Lantern as well as endorse the new power couple. Team Clark over Team Bruce! We also discuss the recent Marvel “Civil War” rumors as the recent release of DC’s schedule for its cinematic universe. Visit Epiccomicast.com for more!
