Welcome back for another episode of the Epic Comicast podcast! There is always a lot going on in the world of geek entertainment and fortunately you have two of the best in the business to walk you through it all. So kick your feet up and get ready for another epic installment!
Warner Bros made news last week, when it was revealed that DC Comics’ legend Geoff Johns was promoted to the co-head of the newly minted DC Films division. Johns will be overseeing the growing universe on film and will fulfill a creative role similar to that of Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige. The Epic Comicast team are huge fans of DC heroes and they have a lot to say about the new changes. Is WB panicking? Is this good move? Tune in and find out.
A new X-Men adventure is coming to theaters at the end of the week with X-Men: Apocalypse and the ECC crew takes the opportunity to look back at one of the franchise’s low points with X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The movie is infamous for its confused storytelling, fake CGI claws, bad acting, lazy visual effects, and most notably…for casting Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, then sewing his mouth shut. Get ready for another memorable episode. Enjoy!
