Epic Comicast is back with another episode of their weekly podcast, that takes you through the various realms of fandom and back again. This week the ECC crew covers a lot of ground in the world of Geek.

Jason Momoa showed why he is was cast as Aquaman and made headlines by disrespecting Marvel at a convention. Classic 80’s video game characters strike back in the first trailer for Pixels, starring Adam Sandler and Kevin James. TC and Karina give their thoughts on the trailer and if they think the cast will ruin the movie. Marvel Studios released another amazing trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron, but are they showing too much?  DC Comics made controversial headlines this week with release of the variant cover of Batgirl, which paid homage to the cruel Batman story, The Killing Joke. ECC give their thoughts on the controversy and how DC Comics handled the situation. 

For the main course, Epic Comicast takes a trip through the Silver and Golden eras of the DC universe in the animated movie Justice League: The New Frontier. DC Comics is making waves in the world of live action, in both TV and film like never before. The New Frontier explores a “simpler time” and rewrites the history of DC Comics’ greatest heroes, in an attempt to show how superheroes have affected various generations. ECC reviews the movie and breaks down if it is worthy of the high bar that DC has set in the world of animation. Get ready for an Epic podcast!
