It’s time for another edition of the Epic Comicast podcast and this week they are ready for Kombat! It’s been a relatively slow week of news as the world prepares for the San Diego Comic Con. Warner Bros is expected to make a huge splash by debuting the future of their DC Comics’ universe, during their presentation in Hall H. The ECC crew talks a bit about the convention and their plans to be in attendance for the possibly historic presentation.
Superhero movies have hit their stride. It seems that studios and filmmakers have finally wrapped their heads around how to tell the best stories, while still respecting the comic book source material. The next market to finally get its day in the sun will be the videogame genre. But before someone gets it right, its good to take a look back at some of the missteps along the way.
After surprising many people in 1995 with the first adaptation of the hit arcade game Mortal Kombat, the sequel that followed was a huge disappointment.
