Welcome back to the 77th episode of the Epic Comicast podcast! There were a lot of stories this past week that moved the needle in the world of geek news. So sit back and let the ECC crew take you on an audio tour through it all.
Star Wars continued to make noise as the release of The Force Awakens gets closer. Lucasfilm released an international trailer for the film which revealed even more for fans to get excited about. However, not everyone will get the opportunity to see the film on December 18th. One such person is lifelong Star Wars fan Daniel Fleetwood, a terminally ill enthusiast whose wish to watch The Force Awakens before he passes was granted. The ECC crew walk you through both of these incredible stories from the world of Star Wars.
Epic Comicast is known for not leaving any stone of fandom overturned and this week they find 1997’s Spawn. The movie was based on the Image Comics’ character that was created by Todd McFarlane and made into a live action movie starring Michael Jai White, John Leguizamo, and Martin Sheen. The movie was a disappointment with both audiences and critics, but whose story is worth revisiting. So get prepared for the most epic hour of your week. Enjoy!
