It’s time for the podcast that you have been waiting all week for! Epic Comicast is back with a huge episode waiting just for you! There was a ton of monumental news this past week, so park yourself on your most comfy reclining chair and get ready!
The hands-down, biggest story of the week was the reveal of Spider-Man in the latest Captain America: Civil War trailer. The first image of the Marvel cinematic universe’s version of the character set the internet on fire and debates are still raging about the debut. Many were upset because the costume appeared overly animated in compressed viewers. Others felt that it was revealing too much of the plot, much like Batman v Superman may have done when they showed Doomsday in a trailer. Tempers flare and the debate continues on this week’s episode. So make sure to let us know what your position on the Spidey reveal is after listening to the episode.
Actor J.K. Simmons shocked the geek world when it was announced that he was joining the expanding DC Universe on film as Commissioner James Gordon in part one of the Justice League. Many had held out hope that he would reprise his role as J. Jonah Jameson in the upcoming Spider-Man reboot, however he had a much different plan. TC and Karina talk about the huge casting and what it can mean for the future.
Spider-Man is the man of the hour, so the ECC crew is taking the opportunity to look back on Spidey’s greatest big screen adventure in Spider-Man 2. Sam Raimi’s classic film is seen as one of the best comic book movies of all time, so it is only fitting for Epic Comicast to review and break down the movie. Get ready for an amazing episode. Enjoy!
