Welcome back for the 120th episode of the Epic Comicast podcast! We are only in February and there has already been a year’s worth of developments in geek movie and TV news. So, sit back and buckle up for another great installment.
There has been a lot of turmoil over on the Warner Bros’ lot where The Batman is having a tornado of confusion. The ECC crew takes a look at the departure of Ben Affleck from the director’s chair and express their concern over the future of the project. They then move over to talk Marvel and their upcoming blockbuster, Avengers: Infinity War. The team talks about the role of Thanos in the wildly anticipated mega-event film next year, as well as their thoughts on seeing the Marvel heroes assemble on screen.
Then the dynamic duo takes a look at the latest in superhero television. There is a huge variety of comic book stories on the small screen this year. TC and Karina examines the new developments on some of TV’s biggest comic book shows, including Gotham, Legion, The Flash, as well as giving their thoughts on the new NBC comedy, Powerless.
They then move over to the world of DC animation to breakdown and review the new DC Animation film, Justice League Dark. (Click here for a 6 minute preview.) Warner Bros is prepping to bring the property to the big screen, but first they dropped their newest animated movie based on the property. The ECC team breaks down and reviews the movie, while giving their honest opinion on the property. Get ready for something Epic!
