Following the release of the first official trailer for The Avengers: Age of Ultron, Marvel has heard the fan outcries of “We want more!” In response they have already dropped a scene from the film during an episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and now they have added about fifteen extra seconds of footage to the trailer. Now you might think that fifteen seconds isn’t that big of a deal. But this is the The Avengers…every second counts…
The main addition is the initial scene where we get a little more of Ultron’s dialogue and see that it will be an all out assault on their party. It seems that none of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are prepared for combat besides Thor and Maria Hill with that itty-bitty pistol. We do get a few more glimpses of Iron Man in action, Loki’s staff, as well as a few more shots of the destruction in Africa presumably by the Hulk. (Is that really Wakanda?) What is abundantly clear is that James Spader is going to own the role of Ultron. Hopefully a new benchmark will be set in terms of Marvel villains’ complexity and performance after the release of Age of Ultron.
Get ready. The Avengers: Age of Ultron will be in theaters May 1st, 2015.
