The reveal of the new design of the Ninja Turtles probably hasn’t gone as smoothly as Platinum Dunes would have liked. Add to the fact that there wasn’t even a glimpse of the Turtles father figure and sensei, Master Splinter and fans were legitimately concerned. It has also been recently reported that Johnny Knoxville (Bad Grandpa) and Tony Shalhoub (Monk) have joined the cast as Leonardo and Splinter respectively. A few more glimpses of the Ninja Turtles in action show their increased size and stature. While we don’t get a full frontal shot of the rat, his design appears solid and quite rodent-like. What more can you ask for? (Besides an engaging script, characters with believable motivations and a movie universe that functions on a clear set of rules that are established early…) But this is a Michael Bay production… what can go wrong?
