The Night of the Museum gang is back for one more romp and this time they are taking their show on the road. Director Shawn Levy reunites the cast led by Ben Stiller and featuring many returning favorites including Owen Wilson, Ben Kingsley, and Robin Williams in one of his final appearances.

It looks like they will be spanning the globe this time as Larry packs up the museum artifacts and heads to London. He is on a mission to save the magic that brings the artifacts to life before it disappears. It looks like it hasn’t deviated from the formula that made the first two huge financial successes. So if you liked what they served you before, there are plenty of leftovers.

I have never been a huge fan of the series, but I could totally imagine loving it as a kid. The film does look fun and it’s hard to not get hit with a wave of bittersweet sadness when seeing Williams on screen again. However, I have a strict rule about not going to movies where monkeys piss on people. Once primate urine is introduced…there is no coming back…

Night of the Museum 3: Secret of the Tomb opens on December 19th, 2014.
