A Godzill-ion of you have already bore witness to the latest iteration of the radioactive dragon monster we, as tiny little humans, have come to know, love, and vomit in fear of. From Warner Bros. and Legendary pictures, the trailer introduces us to Godzilla’s gigantic tail and mouth, and to a startlingly upset Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad, Malcolm in the Middle). Come May 16th, I’m going to be in the theater crossing my fingers for a senselessly destructive giant monster fight. It’s a distinct likelihood given the success of super-sized beat ’em ups like Pacific Rim, but it’s equally likely that Gareth Edwards will bring us another Godzilla story more focused on the human element, which means people dealing both emotionally and physically with the monster’s giant feet and body. Here’s to hoping for a massive monster showdown in the streets of SF this summer!

Also, Quiksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen—there’s a non-twin Olsen? Huh.) are totally married in this movie. They might even kiss each other. On screen. Prepare for some pretty creepy cross-property fan fic to flood the webs after Avengers: Age of Ultron graces theaters in 2015.
