Points of the Week

straight-outta-compton

F. Gary Gray is literally in the driver’s seat after delivering the most succesful biopic of all-time with Straight Outta Compton. There were rampant rumors that Marvel had their sights set on the director as well for Black Panther. However, it appears that Universal Studios is keeping him in the family and has locked him up of the Fast and the Furious franchise. And we already knew that they are all about family…

The_Flash_2

While we are on costumes, there was a rumor about another quick-witted superhero. Pre-production is underway for The Flash feature film and according to Den of Geek! they have a source that gave some details on the suit design. Apparently, they are looking for the costume to be “tech-based” with an armored look, in order to differentiate itself from the CW television show. Also writer Seth Grahame-Smith (Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter) is said to be in talks to write and direct, according to a report from THR. The hire of Grahame-Smith should give fans cause for concern, since he has little experience in the director’s chair and the task will be enormous.

Marvel and Netflix continued their patient marketing campaign for Jessica Jones, which will be premiering next month. While earlier clips highlighted her brute strength, this new clip highlights her other assets. Particularly her ability to either fly, or jump great distances. Watch the promo then give us your best guess at her skillset in the series.
