Lionsgate has had a masterful viral campaign leading up to the next installment in their Hunger Games series. Previous promotions were propaganda campaigns staged by President Snow with Peeta at his side. In the first official teaser trailer, we see Katniss Everdeen and the plans for rebellion brewing. The thrust of the first two installments of the series has been Katniss’ struggle to survive the Hunger Games. Now the focus has changed and she reluctantly looks to become the revolutionary leader that she was destined to be. The tone looks darker and grittier than previous installments as well. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Donald Sutherland, Liam Hemsworth, Jeffrey Wright, Julianne Moore, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Stanley Tucci and Elizabeth Banks. It will open in wide release on November 21st, 2014 and Part 2 is expected to be released November 20th, 2015.
