Everyone one has been keeping their eyes open for the next testosterone filled, John Wick styled action movie. Apparently fans won’t have to wait too long, because it looks like the next cult classic is on its way and her name is Everly. 

From the trailer it is clear that this movie will have all of the comedy, creative camerawork, and heart, needed to make it a memorable film. The casting of Salma Hayek in itself shows that this will be something different. In recent years we have had a string of movies that are low-tech, action films such as, The Raid 2, John Wick, and now Everly is putting in a bid to be the spiritual successor to those movies. 

Everly seems influenced by everything from Kill Bill, to Call of Duty, to classic Asian martial arts cinema. The setup is simple and it seems that the fun of the movie will be anticipating who will come up the elevator next to murder the heroine. Luckily we only have to wait about a month to check this one out. Enjoy.
