Sin City: A Dame to Kill For -Teaser Trailer!

In 2005, director Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller released their neo-noir, crime film, Sin City. Based on the graphic novels created by legendary writer Frank Miller (The Dark Knight Returns, 300), the duo successfully recreated the black and white aesthetics of the source material and  delivered a film unlike any before it.  Dimension Films released the first teaser trailer to the sequel entitled, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. Check it out:

The original was released during a turning point in modern cinema. Movies such as Sin City and 300 abandoned practical, hand-built sets in favor of green screen backdrops where literally any landscape can be digitally crafted behind the performers. The result at the time, was a hyper-realistic feel which allowed filmmakers to finally match their sets with their vivid imaginations. This was the turning point where truly anything became possible on film. It has been almost ten years since the last installment of Sin City and it is up in the air if audiences are still enthusiastic about the world. The original had a star-filled cast featuring the likes of Bruce Willis, Clive Owen and the revitalized Mickey Rourke. Rodriguez  and Miller inject some energy to the cast by adding current stars, Josh Brolin (No Country For Old Men, MIB 3) and the white-hot Joseph Gordon-Levitt (The Dark Knight Rises). Sin City: A Dame to Kill For is scheduled for release August 22, 2014. We will continue to bring you all the latest in the City’s development as details are uncovered.

Are you ready for another ride through Sin City?
