Take a Look at the Past and Future of STAR WARS With THE FORCE AWAKENS Character Posters

Here we go! Today Lucasfilm made an (un)official announcement that these are the modern faces of the new Star Wars trilogy. A couple of weeks ago, the full posters for The Force Awakens were released which called upon the designs used for the original trilogy. The poster featured most of the major  characters that we can expect to see in the upcoming film. Now that we have gotten a look at the big picture, Lucasfilm wants fans to get a more intimate look at the past and future of new trilogy.

There hasn’t been much revealed about Leia’s exact involvement in The Force Awakens. However, the easy money is on her continuing to be a leader in the Resistance and possibly…wanting to find out where her brother is.

Han-Solo is arguably the single-most popular character, in the single-most popular franchise in movie history. It would be criminal to not include Harrison Ford in the promotion somehow. There have been more black rumor clouds swirling over Harrison Ford than any other character, so be prepared for anything. Ford has historically been cantankerous towards his time spent in the Millennium Falcon. However, something about the story convinced him to come back to the role… He and his blaster look right at home.

Until we see more from Captain Phasma, Kylo Ren is the new face of Star Wars villainy. There are a lot of rumors and even some growing legends about the Dark Side aficionado. J.J. Abrams has actually already revealed some interesting facts about Kylo and how he fits www.stayfitgethealthy.com/med/ into the film. He is, much like Darth Vader and Maul, the new personification of shock and awe in the series.

This is literally the first face we saw in the teaser for The Force Awakens. John Boyega (Attack the Block) may be relatively unknown today, but things will be much different in just a few months. While he wields a lightsaber, many have speculated that he is closer to the new Han-Solo of the series. Much like Rey and Kylo, there will be many surprises and reveals about Finn when the curtains rise in December.

It is clear that Abrams and producer Kathleen Kennedy weren’t simply looking to cast pop stars for the next generation of Star Wars. They were looking to cast powerful, young actors that could carry the series into the next decade. It looks like they have struck gold twice, because Daisy Ridley seems to fit the part like a glove and seems wise beyond her years. This is yet another name that will be second nature in 2016.

Luke Skywalker is the only glaring omission from the poster gallery. However, that’s because his absence is a huge focal point of the movie. Luckily, the release is right around the corner and there are a lot more surprises to come.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens on December 18th, 2015.
