The Avengers are just like everyone else. They fight alien invaders. They carry a big hammer. And sometimes they gotta hulk out from time to time. After saving the world, they even share celebratory dishes of shawarma. They are just like you and me. And even the Avengers need to party.
Well during last night’s airing of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel debuted the first clip from next year’s upcoming blockbuster, Avengers: Age of Ultron. Judging by the tone of the trailer itself, this light-hearted clip is before the Avenger’s world goes to ruins. According to recent reports, the events and conflicts in Age of Ultron will alter the Avengers forever. So enjoy this moment of camaraderie, it may be the last moment that we see this current team united.
For everything Marvel Studios has done right, they have struggled creating villains who stand out in their films, Loki aside. It looks that Marvel has created possibly their most complex villain to date, in their upcoming sequel. Ultron is equal parts Frankenstein, global terrorist, and the Terminator and he will be inflicting pain on Earth’s mightiest heroes, on both a physical and psychological level. Can’t wait to see how it all unfolds.
Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters May 1st, 2015.
