If Warner Bros animation department was a boxer, they would always telegraph their punches. Frankly. DC Comics’ animated movies deliver the consistent quality most would associate with Marvel Studios, live-action endeavors. They take recent comic book storylines or characters, such as the Flashpoint Paradox or Suicide Squad, and make quality adaptations out of them. However, there is an ulterior motive to their animation department. They use it to test the waters for their live-action films. Enter Aquaman.
We have gotten the official confirmation of a solo movie and his expected appearance in a series of films. So Warner Bros is putting in effort to familiarize audiences with the modern incarnation of Arthur Curry. Curry was left out of the last movie, Justice League: War. Justice League: Throne of Atlantis is the character’s formal introduction to the contemporary world of DC. The voice cast is flat out amazing. Featuring TV and film stars Rosario Dawson, Jerry O’Connell, Sean Astin, Harry Lennix and a lot more. This looks like one for fans of animation and DC Comics to get excited about. We also might be getting a glimpse of the direction that they may be going in when Aquaman hits theaters in 2018. Check it out.
