San Diego Comic Con is known as the place where amazing things are revealed and this year was no exception to the rule. Trailers dropped for some of this year’s most anticipated films, such as Ready Player One and Justice League. Plus, there was a ton of huge casting news and updates for movies such as Avengers: Infinity War and Ant-Man and the Wasp.
Marvel never ceases to amaze, particularly when it comes to making noise in the famed Hall H. This year they rolled out all of the stars for their upcoming films, Black Panther and Thor: Ragnarok. They screend exclusive footage from the movies for the crowd in attendance, before releasing a brand new trailer for the world.
The second trailer shows off the film’s unique sense of humor, that’s clearly been shaped by director Taika Waititi (The Hunt for the Wilderpeople). In the third Thor outing he finds himself banished from Asgard by the villainous Hela, played by Cate Blanchett, and forced into gladiatorial combat with none other than the Incredible Hulk. From the looks of the trailer, the two settle their differences before teaming up with Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson). The movie is a clear continuation of the rapid expansion of Marvel’s cosmic universe, which is expanding the scope of not only how, but where their stories can be told. So sit back and enjoy the trailer!
