Last year Captain America: The Winter Soldier had a $90 million dollar opening in April, proving that the summer movie-going season is starting earlier than ever. Furious 7 is following suit and will kick the 2015 summer off next month with the much anticipated sequel. 

A big appeal of the franchise has always been its frivolity and sense of fun. The first extended look shows that the seventh installment has retained those qualities and pushed them even further. The production has had a cloud over it since the death of Paul Walker, so it is reassuring to see that the movie seems to have the same exhilaration that it has trademarked. Get ready to shut your brain off and have a good time!

Official Synopsis:

Continuing the global exploits in the unstoppable franchise built on speed, Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson lead the returning cast of Fast & Furious 7. James Wan directs this chapter of the hugely successful series that also welcomes back favorites Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Elsa Pataky and Lucas Black. They are joined by international action stars new to the franchise including Jason Statham, Djimon Hounsou, Tony Jaa, Ronda Rousey and Kurt Russell. Neal H. Moritz, Vin Diesel and Michael Fottrell return to produce the film written by Chris Morgan.

Furious 7 hits theaters April 3rd, 2015.
