It has been rough, but it has been almost fifteen years since the world had the privilege of seeing Derek Zoolander’s face on the big-screen. The comedy which was written and directed by the film’s star Ben Stiller was a slow burn at the box-office. While it was not hugely successful at its release, the comedy had enough catchphrases and ridiculous moments to somehow stay in the comedic consciousness over the years. 

It is unclear if the fourteen year wait was too long. Last year we saw Dumb and Dumber To come back after a twenty year wait and it did not make the comedy feel any more fresh. Stiller first made it public that a sequel was in development during the Valentino fashion show (embedded above) earlier this year, where he and costar Owen Wilson took the stage in character. Many of the original film’s actors are much bigger stars and Stiller is adding even more comedic talent to the sequel. It will feature Kirsten Wiig, Will Ferrell, Olivia Munn, Billy Zane, Justin Bieber, Kim Kardashian, and a bunch of other surprises. Enjoy the trailer.
