WATCH: (Hopefully) The Last Trailer for AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Spotlights Black Widow

One of the larger complaints about the original Avengers movie, was that a lot of the key moments in the film were spoiled in the trailers. Since that point, Marvel Studios has seemed to have taken heed and been particularly strategic with the plot points and moments they release from their upcoming films. Iron Man 3 was the first post-Avengers film to have a huge hidden secret. The identity of the Mandarin, Trevor Slattery, was controversial and totally unexpected. They followed that by dismantling S.H.I.E.L.D. in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which was especially shocking since they had a TV show named after the organization. When Guardians of the Galaxy opened, almost everyone got more than they were expecting, even if the anticipation was high.

Recently, Marvel has been bombarding its fans with multiple trailers and TV spots for their hugely anticipated Avengers: Age of Ultron. It seems most of the footage shown has been from only two major battles. The hope is that the marketing team is simply misdirecting the audience and we will be in for a bunch of surprises. With that being said, most of the footage in this final trailer is not new, aside from the last thirty seconds.

This is the longest look at Black Widow yet and it shows that she clearly has great combat chemistry with her former S.H.I.E.L.D. mate, Captain America. In fact, we even get to see her wield the iconic shield herself. It is interesting that they choose Black Widow to focus on as well. Could they be preparing us for something? We will find out in less than a month…Enjoy the trailer.
