Producer Adi Shankar made headlines earlier this month when his controversial satire, Power/Rangers, became an internet sensation. The short film sparked a debate about the right to artistic freedom, versus copyrights and big corporations. An agreement was reached and Shankar’s “Bootleg Universe” was born. Immediately afterwards, Shankar released his next project, an animated satire of the Sean Connery era of James Bond. Surprisingly this short film was quickly blocked as well. Fortunately an agreement was reached and James Bond: In Service of Nothing is available for you to watch below.

James Bond: In Service of Nothing imagines what life for Sean Connery’s Bond would be like for the legendary spy, in his elderly years. The short film manages to make a few poignant observations about how far technology and society has both progressed and regressed, while providing some trademark Bond action. This short film is a treat, especially on the heels of Kingsman: The Secret Service. It’s exhilarating to see the Connery version of Bond back in action. Enjoy.
