WATCH: The Epic Official Trailer and Release Date for LEGENDS OF TOMORROW is Here

Okay, DC Comics and the CW network are just showing off now. Producers Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, and Geoff Johns already have successfully expanded the boundaries of network television, with their hit shows Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl. The next challenge that they set was to bring the same type of epic superhero team-up action found in movies like The Avengers to the small screen. From the first look at CW’s upcoming show Legends of Tomorrow, it seems that they probably have another hit on their hands.

There has been a lot of progress since the announcement trailer for the show was released this past summer. Two new cast members have been brought onto the show including Franz Drameh and Falk Hentschel, as the new Firestorm and Hawkman. While the presence of infamous DC Comics’ villain Vandal Savage can be felt all over the trailer. It also seems that Hawkman and Hawkgirl are directly tied to Savage’s past as well.

Where The Flash has toyed around with time travel, the sci-fi concept will form the backbone of Legends of Tomorrow. The team is brought together to prevent a future in which “Men of Steel die and Dark Knights fall.” However, it looks like a lot of fun in the show will be found with various characters trying to change their own personal destiny and the chaos that is caused to the timeline as a result. Great Scott! This show looks like a lot of fun. Enjoy the trailer!

Official Synopsis:

When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat — one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?

Legends of Tomorrow premieres on January 21st, 2016.
