One of the most divisive comic book films in development in the past few years, has been the Fantastic Four movie. There have been months of rabid speculation and thousands of inconsolable fanboys proclaiming that their childhood would be ruined by the upcoming film. After Fox released a teaser trailer earlier this year that emphasized the upcoming film’s dramatic tone and science fiction leanings, many have now taken a wait-and-see approach. With a little over four months to go until the release of movie, writer Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future Past) and director Josh Trank (Chronicle) again address fan skepticism on the casting of the movie.
There are still many layers to be revealed in this top secret film project and this is yet another small peak at the the thought process behind the casting of Fantastic Four. In this series of short videos they briefly explain why each of the four actors were chosen for their respective roles and what the actors have captured about the spirit of their given characters.
