In just a few short weeks, Peter Jackson’s historic journey adapting the legendary works of J.R.R. Tolkien will come to an end. Jackson has managed to direct two trilogies, The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, to critical, creative, and financial acclaim. He has won multiple Academy Awards and his films have made billions of dollars.
In December the final chapter, The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies, will hit theaters and we will no longer get to spend three hour blocks of time with Gandalf, Bilbo, Frodo, Sam, Legolas, and so many more iconic characters. We are living in the age of the reboot, however it is hard to imagine we will get another trip back to Middle Earth in the next twenty years.
To celebrate the final chapter and to inspire nostalgia, Warner Bros & New Line has cut a mega-trailer detailing some of the highlights of Jackson’s films. The journey he has taken us on is truly remarkable achievement and the undertaking was enormous. Enjoy the trip back to Middle Earth.
