It is quite an exciting time for fans of DC Comics. After many years of false starts and dashed dreams, a fully functional live-action DC universe is manifesting both on the big and small screen. Unlike Marvel, DC and Warner Bros, have led with their television programming, which is not directly linked to the cinematic world. However, that is of little consequence as there are multiple superhero centered programs that are trailblazing the airwaves.
Years ago Smallville was the crown jewel of DC on television, however things have dramatically changed. Arrow, The Flash, and now Supergirl, have all legitimized the superhero genre on TV with exceptional writing, effects, and grounded moments of heart. The world continues to expand as Legends of Tomorrow, a spin-off of Arrow and The Flash, had a huge debut last month, as well as the recent news that The Flash will be crossing over on Supergirl next month.
This past weekend we were lucky enough to sit down with host Daniel Jerome, of , on his program “Comics on TV.” We were joined by Bernie Bregman of , and talked a little DC on television. So sit back and enjoy!
