Marvel has been holding its cards close to their vest when it comes to their next Netflix venture, Jessica Jones. The upcoming show is Marvel’s first show, or film, to feature a female leading lady/superhero and will be unlike anything else the studio has produced so far. Jessica Jones is also the least known Marvel comic book property to be brought into live-action, so the studio has its work cut out for it.
We already got a teaser, but it didn’t feature any discernible live-action. It’s clear that Marvel is building up to releasing a full trailer with small snippets that give a general idea of the character and tone of the show, before revealing the story. Clearly this will be another adult series similar to Daredevil and it seems that this will be the most flawed Marvel protagonist yet. Enjoy the teaser.
Official Synopsis:
After a tragic ending to her short-lived super hero stint, Jessica Jones is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York City.
The series stars Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, David Tennant as Kilgrave, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, Rachael Taylor as Patricia “Trish” Walker, and Carrie-Anne Moss. “Marvel’s Jessica Jones” is Executive Produced by series Showrunner Melissa Rosenberg (“Twilight”, “Dexter”) and Liz Friedman (“Elementary”), along with Jeph Loeb (“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” “Smallville,” “Heroes”), who also serves as Marvel’s Head of Television.
Jessica Jones premieres on Netflix with a full thirteen episode season on November 20th, 2015.
